Operations Manager – Service & Manufacturing Hub

Barnett Signs is a growing electric sign company, and our Service and Manufacturing Hubs are two of the core engines that drive what we deliver to customers.

We’re hiring an Operations Manager to lead both hubs as one aligned operation. Our Service Lead and Manufacturing Lead own the jobs — you own the system around them: people, schedule, equipment, quality, and safety.

This role partners closely with our Install Hub (led separately), ensuring strong coordination and throughput across the business.

Daily Operations & Execution

  • Own the daily schedule across Service and Manufacturing
  • Ensure the right people and equipment are in the right place
  • Review job performance and keep work moving
  • Lead pre-job planning to catch issues early
  • Partner with Service and Manufacturing Leads to remove blockers and maintain throughput
  • Coordinate closely with Install leadership to ensure smooth handoffs

People

  • Recruit and hire technicians across both hubs
  • Own onboarding and training — get people productive quickly
  • Build and maintain a strong bench as we grow

Equipment, Fleet & Safety

  • Manage fleet and equipment readiness, maintenance, and utilization
  • Own safety across both hubs — standards, training, compliance, and culture

Quality

  • Establish and enforce quality standards across Service and Manufacturing
  • Turn recurring issues into process improvements, not one-off fixes

What We’re Looking For

  • 7+ years of operations leadership in field services, manufacturing, construction trades, or similar
  • Experience leading through front-line supervisors (not just individual contributors)
  • Proven ability to hire and retain skilled technicians
  • Working knowledge of fleet management, OSHA, and safety programs
  • Comfortable using data to manage performance and make decisions
  • Sign, electrical, or installation experience is a plus, not required
