Manufacturing Apprentice

We are seeking a motivated Manufacturing Apprentice to join our manufacturing team. This full-time, hands-on role supports the fabrication of custom signage and offers an opportunity to build a long-term career in manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Fabricate custom signage using metal, plastic, vinyl, and illuminated components
  • Operate power tools, hand tools, welding equipment, and fabrication machinery
  • Read and interpret drawings and work instructions
  • Lift, move, and handle raw materials
  • Meet customer deadlines while following Barnett quality and safety standards
  • Work collaboratively and maintain a positive team environment
  • Perform other assigned duties

Skills, Knowledge & Experience

  • Basic math skills (fractions and decimals)
  • Ability to read blueprints and construction drawings
  • Steel, aluminum, plastic, and vinyl fabrication knowledge
  • Sign illumination and wiring knowledge (UL requirements)
  • Strong communication, organization, and time-management skills
  • Self-starter able to prioritize and meet deadlines
  • Metal and plastics work experience
  • Welding experience (certification preferred)
  • Forklift and CNC experience a plus

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs
  • Ability to stand for most of the workday
