The Manufacturing Apprentice is a hands-on role that supports the fabrication of custom signage and offers an opportunity to build a long-term career in manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities
Fabricate custom signage using metal, plastic, vinyl, and illuminated components
Operate power tools, hand tools, welding equipment, and fabrication machinery
Read and interpret drawings and work instructions
Lift, move, and handle raw materials
Meet customer deadlines while following Barnett quality and safety standards
Work collaboratively and maintain a positive team environment
Perform other assigned duties
Skills, Knowledge & Experience
Basic math skills (fractions and decimals)
Ability to read blueprints and construction drawings
Steel, aluminum, plastic, and vinyl fabrication knowledge
Sign illumination and wiring knowledge (UL requirements)
Strong communication, organization, and time-management skills
Self-starter able to prioritize and meet deadlines
