Facilities Technician – Mfg Purchasing Support

Barnett Signs is hiring a full-time Facility & Purchasing Technician to support our MFG office, shop, and yard operations. This role ensures supplies are stocked, facilities are maintained, freight runs smoothly, and the buildings are opened and closed each day.

Key Responsibilities

  • Open/close facilities and ensure all areas are secure and operational
  • Order, restock, and track supplies for the office and shop
  • Manage vendor orders and deliveries
  • Assist with yard and facility maintenance, including basic repairs
  • Support freight operations: loading/unloading, shipping/receiving, forklift use
  • Keep all areas organized, safe, and functional

Requirements

  • Tenacious, detail-oriented, and dependable
  • Some knowledge of building repairs and maintenance
  • Physically able to walk, stand, climb, lift, stoop, kneel, and work in noisy/dusty environments
  • Strong follow-through and urgency
  • Comfortable working outdoors in all weather
  • PPE use required
  • Experience in purchasing, facilities, or shop work preferred
  • Must pass background check and drug test
  • Clean driving record and current Texas driver’s license
